What Happens If My Team Is Running Late?
What Happens If My Team Is Running Late?
Question:
What is the late arrival policy at The Lost Exit, how does arriving late affect our 60-minute game time, and can we get a refund if we miss our slot?
Answer:
We know that traffic, wrong turns, or unexpected delays happen! However, because The Lost Exit operates on a strict schedule with private time slots reserved back-to-back, arriving on time is essential to getting the full 60-minute experience.
To make sure your adventure runs smoothly, all teams are required to arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled game start time for checking in, storing personal items, and completing the safety briefing.
How Late Arrivals Affect Your Game
Arrival 15 Minutes Early Required: Your booked time includes your pre-game briefing and orientation. Arriving 15 minutes early ensures your game starts precisely on time.
Minor Delays (Under 15 Minutes Late): If you arrive after your scheduled start time, your 60-minute game countdown timer may be reduced by the amount of time you were late. This ensures the teams scheduled immediately after you are not kept waiting.
Major Delays (Over 15–20 Minutes Late): If a team arrives significantly late, it may no longer be possible to run the game safely or complete the experience. In this case, the booking will be treated as a last-minute cancellation/no-show.
No Refunds or Rescheduling for Late Arrivals: In accordance with our Terms & Conditions, time lost due to late arrival cannot be refunded, compensated, or rescheduled to another time slot.
What Should You Do If You Are Running Late?
Call or Message Us Immediately: If you realize you are stuck in traffic or delayed, reach out to us as soon as possible! While we cannot delay subsequent groups, knowing your status helps our Game Masters prepare and adapt your briefing as efficiently as possible upon your arrival.
Plan Ahead: Check your route and local weather conditions ahead of time, especially during peak weekend hours or holiday seasons.
